Club meetings and other GOP events listed

It has been requested that the dates, times, and locations of upcoming events be posted. In order to serve that need, Republican Reunion will post such information. You can now keep up with upcoming club meetings and other GOP events. Upcoming events are listed on the right and, if you scroll through the calendar, event dates are in red.

If you have a Republican party or Republican party-related event that you want us to post, please let us know. Please provide the following information:

  • Type of event
  • Organization name
  • Sponsors (if any)
  • Date, time, location
  • Other important information

Social Bookmarking Updated

The social bookmark submission buttons have been updated. They are located on the right side under the heading “Bookmark.” Currently, four social bookmarking services are featured: Digg, Reddit, del.icio.us, and FaithTag. These four replace the “Socializer” button that was located in this section due to some technical problems with the Socializer system.

All four services require membership, which is free for each of them. The primary advantage to using these services is the ability to let others know about what we are doing here at the Keith Rothra campaign. Also, site visitors and supporters can share specific articles of special interest with others.

Visitors can now receive updates by email

AnnoucementThe Keith Rothra Campaign now offers visitors the ability to subscribe to the website through email and RSS feeds. In the past, visitors needed knowledge about RSS, feed readers, and XML to subscribe. However, the new system allows visitors to sign up to receive updates via email. Additionally, the RSS feed is now easier to use as well as more versatile. According

By using the services of FeedBurner, a widely-used RSS feed distribution system owned by Google, the Keith Rothra Campaign believes that these new features will be a welcome addition to the site. The Republican Party of Gregg County needs to reunite, which means making itself accessible to as many as possible. It is this philosophy that prompted the Keith Rothra Campaign to implement the new features.
