Packed house at campaign HQLONGVIEW – Speaking to a full house on Friday, November 17, Keith Rothra of Longview announced his candidacy for Gregg County Republican Chairman and declared that his headquarters will become the new Republican Headquarters should he win. Rothra teaches government for Texas A&M, Kilgore College, and LeTourneau University and has been active in the Gregg Republican party for about fifteen years.

Rothra opened his campaign headquarters in downtown Longview. Announcing his campaign theme of a Republican reunion, Rothra stated that many Republicans from within Gregg and surrounding counties noticed the divisions within the party. They asked him to run to reunite the party.

Keith Rothra speaks to crowdRothra said, “We must bridge the divide, bandage the wounds, and bind ourselves together if want to be strong.” He called on all Republicans to unite for the sake of their own party.

Additionally, Rothra promised that, should he win, his campaign headquarters will become the new county party headquarters. “We need a year-round headquarters, not just three months out of the year,” Rothra said.
