Keith Rothra was re-elected to a second term as President of the Republican Club of Gregg County for 2008. The club met at Johnny Cace’s Restaurant in Longview on November 22nd
and chose Rothra as their leader into the future. This vote illustrates the party’s desire for unity, leadership, and vision.
Throughout his first term as President, Rothra continuously called for the party to reunite rather than remain polarized. The Republican Club showed its belief in Rothra’s vision, leadership, and ability to bring the various party factions together.

LONGVIEW – Speaking to a full house on Friday, November 17, Keith Rothra of Longview announced his candidacy for Gregg County Republican Chairman and declared that his headquarters will become the new Republican Headquarters should he win. Rothra teaches government for Texas A&M, Kilgore College, and LeTourneau University and has been active in the Gregg Republican party for about fifteen years.
Rothra opened his campaign headquarters in downtown Longview. Announcing his campaign theme of a Republican reunion, Rothra stated that many Republicans from within Gregg and surrounding counties noticed the divisions within the party. They asked him to run to reunite the party.

Due to a miscommunication, the article in today’s Longview News-Journal states that Keith Rothra “formed a group called Republican Reunion.” However, this needs to be clarified.
Republican Reunion is not an organization, but rather, it is the theme for the Keith Rothra Campaign.
